Chapter Formation Criteria
In order to form a local CPF Chapter, you need:
- TEN CPF - MB members, in good standing, and located in the same school division;
- an established bank account;
- an elected executive committee consisting of at least three Directors,
including President and Vice-President.
Once a group of ten CPF - MB members decides to establish a local Chapter,
they must apply in writing to the Board of CPF - MB in order to aquire Chapter
status. In addition a signed Constitution and a list of the elected Directors
of the Chapter must be provided.
Now, you’re ready to take your place as a Chapter of CPF Manitoba!
Chapter Responsibilities:
- Maintain at least ten members in good standing
- Hold a minimum of three meetings per year, including an Annual General
Meeting with a formal election of an executive commitee, with appropriate
quarum
- Use Chapter Rebate funds to promote French second-language learning opportunities
for students in your division
- Submit a Quarterly Activity Report and Financial Report by the yearly deadline
to the Provincial association
- Participate in occasional province-wide fundraising activities of CPF Manitoba
Operate in accordance with the rules, regulations and by-laws of Canadian
Parents for French
- Maintain communication with the provincial association of Canadian Parents
for French by regular contact with the Provincial Board.
